Healbot – curses, poison, macros and lifebloom

I say many thx Got the C-, P-thing to work with no probs. so thats nice Gonna try the macrothing, returning if i cant make it work. Lifebloom wasnt the most important as i most play pvp and dont raid. Again thx1) Yes it does. Work for me on poison and curses. Double check you setup as the other poster indicated. Check your skin tab and make sure you know what color change to expect. The only notification you get is the bar turns a different color. 2) That is true. I belive that is being added in the WOLK version. 3) It does work with macros. Simply use the macro name instead of the spell name for the action that you want to use to call it. I did have a hard time getting my NS+HT macro working until I finally read the included documentatiuon The key is you have to use target=hbtarget to get the spell to fire on the target who’s bar you are over. -75 BRD, 41 WHM, 68 WAR, 37 NIN, 21 BST, 20 MNK, 19 BLM1. It does. You have to set what you want to monitor, look at the tab named debuffs I think. 2. Nope, can’t do that. Get the addon Lifebloomer for that, it’s well done. 3. Impossible to do, as far as I know. You can with Clique +

Road to 80 – Balance or Feral?

So with the release of the patch and the free respec, I have begun to ponder the balance route. Spellpower will transfer over from my healing gear from when I was resto and I have been pooling some honor to upgrade my gear a little more. I have never worked with a Moonkin and only seen them in BGs or arena in terms of performance. They do damage, but I’ve never paid attention to how much. I leveled to 70 as feral and enjoyed it and knew what I could take and do. I’d have to relearn that with balance and I can always respec to feral if I don’t like balance. I read about people going boomkin and loving it and I figure I already better caster gear than feral gear, so why not give it a shot. My questions are these – Damage wise, does balance put out similar damage compared to feral? I guess what I want to know is balance as quick in leveling as feral? I pretty much only quest to level, not much hard grinding. How do you boomkins do in BGs? Is the basic stratgey for balance root and nuke? Do you you use a full array of spells or only a few? (Like in resto you pretty much only spam rejuvenation and lifebloom, though there are other healing spells and feral dps you spam mangle…) I am sure I can and will find some of that info while looking around for balance info, but I am curious about current moonkins and how you play it. If there are any good balance how to’s a link is much appreciated. (I’ve read through some of the stickies and am looking at more from the druid resources your enemies, but never forget their names!”

3.2.2 Live

Pretty sure the PS change is for ferals to be better at pvp, gives instant big heals and such. Infected Wounds change is nice because if you’re the only tank applying Tclap debuff having to wait for two Mauls to get the full stack (and 2 more if you ever lose the debuff) puts Druids at a disadvantage. Same implications in pvp too. Predatory Strikes: This talent now also causes the druid?? finishing moves to provide a 7/13/20 chance per combo point to make the next Nature spell with a cast time below 10 seconds instant cast. Predatory strikes… Ohai art of war/enh shammy thing etc. Question: Does anyone here think there is enough time in the feral druid rotation to take 3 GCD’s to cast something? (1 to switch out, 1 to cast, 1 to switch back in) Actually, I’m tired, I can’t remember if it takes a GCD to switch out… The rest of them aren’t that interesting from my point of view: I don’t balance pvp and the infected wounds change is just meh. No resto love. Or hate either, so perhaps I should be thankful.-The One and Only Poldaran wrote:If being prepared is good enough for Batman, it’s good enough for me.

Draenei Hunter Thread

hunters got buffed u moron! sure they normalized out pet and changed the agi = rap conditions but still. i mean a hunter with good gear can now crit with shots for 1000(from what i hear) on the walk! our pet did get a attack speed normalization, but they do scale now the 41 mm and bm points are awesome, 3 sec silence is very good to stop a priest from healing or a warlock from dotting you up while ure pet is in bestial wrath being unstoppable and impossible to snare? yes thank you, this can finnally rip through mages like the’re tissues(some could before this some couldn’t )no more deadzone for you mister becase they nerfed hhunters. Roll someo other class.Hello fellow Hunters, I’m new to World of Warcraft.. And with the Burning Crusade expansion coming out now, it seems like a good time to give WoW a try. I’m making this thread for all the Draenei’s out there choosing to be Hunter’s. Nobody’s played one yet, so I’m hoping for this thread to be a place to throw out any tips or suggestions as we all start out from Ammen Vale soon Of the mobs around our starting area, I’m hoping to one of the Tallstriders once I hit Lv 10. What creatures are you hoping to have fight alongside you? Some points of interest I see…

Having trouble with DPS when BM spec?

BM and DPS do not go together MM speced here and my white damage hits 900-1200 (1700 crit) Might want to change specs if your going to raid now that your 70 My spec here allows my pet a great amount of survivability without taking away from my ability to produce mass amounts of DPS and having an awesome range. Only drawback to that is in instances when your white damage does crit you usually pull aggro cause its so damn much-Wheels Darigraz to North wrote:I is not liking this idea of stepping in offices, the office of you is sounds like a Hottopic where all the transvestite makeup men hangs out and talks about havings sex with they fall out boy. Whys do they wants sex with nuclear freak?Lately i been running the lv 70 instances and when we get to the mobs that spawn lil annoying mobs, its hard for me to one-shot them unless i use arcane shot or multi-shot. For instance, this flower boss in botanica. second boss i believe, he spawns lil flowers with like 700 hp or so. of course they put hunter on them. however, im BM and my ranged attacks dont have THAT much power to one-shot them. thats where my pet comes in. although, its kinda hard (not really) to jump from ur pets attack button to arcane shot then to multi-shot (depending where they are placed on the action bars). the flowers take about 3-4 secs to get from the boss to the other players. in that time, i only shoot out about 2 250 bullets. (using the blue gun from the masterys quest in nagrand) how can BM get more dps? or is there a technique that we do with pet to attack spawns? Havent tried that instance with pet on aggressive, thats probaly the trick right there. i learned to keep it on passive lol. bad times on aggressive. I have 1066 AP and 22.5 crit at lv 70 (no gear) mostly blues and some greens from outland places. -I will not Die alone, You hear me!?

New To Hunters

Due to some heavy patching and nerfing, all pets now attack at the same speed and have the same stats within their type. Bears and Cats will have different stats, but two types of Bears would have near-identical starting stats. There are some pets which are classified as because their stats are heavy in the department. Which is useless for a pet since they don’t use mana, but focus instead. However, this stat balance means that the pets have lower health and armor compared to the other animals out there, making them more fragile than pets compared to their damage output. The caster pets I remember off the bat are the Dragonhawks from the Blood Elf starting area and Nether Rays from Zangarmarsh in Outland. It’s a shame, really, because both pets look amazing. This build: Balanced, or not focussed enough?

Everyone seems to really be focused on BM, MM, or SV when it comes to Hunters. You’re either one, or the other of the three. Now for 2 years (yes it’s taken me 2 years to get to this point as I always level slowly in MMOs … too many other fun things to distract me from leveling Lol) I have been 100 Beastmaster. I am currently a 45/13/0 Build 67 NE hunter. I was looking at Survival as a lot of Hunters seem to do well with it, and I really like the looks of some of the skill. My issue is that I can’t seem to completely commit to BM, or SV in full. I use a LOT of traps even when soloing, and I like seeing my shots crit frequently as well. I do OK on Mana conservation, and pretty much just Alternate SS/AutS with the occasional Sting/ArcS for DPS, and use BW/Intim when it’s ready, and seems appropriate. My pet (Currently a Winterspring cat) seems to hold hate quite well without intimidation, and I figure a loss of hate holding would result in me just using Intim more often.

dash/prowl problem

Well, I don’t know what pet spellbook you’re talking about, I tried to drag and drop from the training list of skills for the pet but no luck. One thing I found that was odd, whenever I send my pet to battle the dash skill now gets used automatically, even though there’s no button with sparkles around it anywhere visible. So….I guess it works that way I want it to, it’s just not extremely controllable. Thanks for the reply. CrodleyHave you tried dragging the icon from your pets spellbook into the pet toolbar? I’ve never personally had to do that, but it’s worth a try. Also, if you ever need to turn spells on or off that are not in the pet toolbar, you can activate/ deactivate them from the pet travels faster than sound, which is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.Hi Folks. I have a level 32 Ghost Saber pet, and when I hit 32 I went to the mountains to get prowl so he can be invisible. Works great, looks great. Then I went to stranglevale to get the tiger that teaches Dash so my prowler can go a bit faster when needed. I learned that spell just fine too. I had no more room for the extra spell tab, so retrained my pet with prowl and dash both. When I was done the only icons showing were dash and growl. BUT he shows that he knows prowl and more interestingly, he has the prowl buff icon up all the time and is invis all the time. There’s no way to turn prowl off since there’s no spell button on the bar. So I retrain him again this time training prowl first BEFORE training dash. Now the only buttons showing are prowl and growl but no button for dash, and alas no buff for dash, even though dash IS listed as one of the skills he knows. Any help? Thanks in adavance. Crodley

Mail vs. Leather

Mail can be overrated. Some leather has the better stats for a hunter, especially in a group. If you’re going to solo pve outlands, however – you may want to start going mail. Or amp up your cc/evasion skills. Outlands is tough because it’s really easy to get adds. Are you dying from adds? Or cuz your pet can’t hold agro? If you get an add, you have options. FD. Trap it in an ice cube. Sic pet on it to get agro on pet – then put pet back on orignial target, kill it, take out the add. Or better yet, take steps never to get adds in the first place. Use track – alternate between track human/animal or demon/animal or whatever to get a sense of where the clusters are, where the patroling mobs are – and where the spots are. Instead of blundering into dangerous, mob-rich areas, hunt from the safer areas – i.e. pull singles to your “safe spot” to fight. Don’t mindlessly send pet into a target rich area. Pull one mob to where you can expect not to get adds. Then, if you do, know what to do to deal w/ the add. Some hunters hunt multiple targets at once. They use a pet like a carrion bird w/ an aoe that semi-taunts – screech. CB has medium armor and hp. W/ bm spec, you can use claw and regen focus pretty fast – w/out a talent to regen focus, have the cb use bite. Once two screeches hit several targets, you can get away w/ multishooting and healing w/out pulling agro. Not all the time, but you can make it work – experiment. And if one of hte mobs comes after you, know what to do. Sic the pet on it. Back off. Learn to kite well. All that said, you can easily get decent mail in outlands quests and on the AH. Not killer, but you can get mail w/ decent stats. That said, if your leather gear just beats all the mail you can find hands down, go w/ the leather. Learn to use the pet and to use other tricks to keep meleeing mobs off you. Evasion, FD, clip and kite, ice cube trap – fear animal and so on. If you pvp, you will want the best chain you can get. Pvp – totally different. GL (edit – important – tell us why you are dying, mostly – i.e. are you dying mostly in solo pve due to adds? Or dying cuz your pet doesn’t hold agro? If that’s happening you have to stop pulling agro off the pet – or make sure Growl is maxed up (if growl is maxed, then you have to let the pet growl – maybe even twice – before you start pounding hte target – or something – or FD a lot, evade (or whatever it’s called) at the right time). Anyway, tell us why you are dying; we can help you a lot better that way – it’s probably not just your armor). Edited, Sep 3rd 2007 4:35pm by like im getting really often told that I suck at WoW….They tell me the main reason, “Your wearing leather” And I think it sux because some leather things are good? No? And when I look in AH most of my stuff is better than the ones in AH so why they complaining? “Your dyiing in outlands because of you got too little mail armor, so now im doing outland quests getting mail armor and stuff is that good or? I’m really not sure whats the problem with Leather?-Europe server Darkmoon Faire. Silvstedt – Night Elf Hunter lvl 70 Missie – Human Rogue lvl 19 Twinkster

How do I deal with this situation?

So I am running SL with my guildies and I am asked to trap casters. I am BM/SV spec so No silencing shot available for this pull. When I try to multi trap these casters I get one in the trap and the other resists. I can’t Kite a caster that can shoot me further away from me than I can shoot it… What should I do? P.S. These casters I think have some Ice resistance cause i get RESIST poppin up alot when I try to trap them. Thanks again.-Alliance (Lightning Hoof) HitashLevat lvl 70 NE Hunter 0/41/20 Ravagedmoon lvl 70 NE Warrior 8/7/46 Celestrial lvl 70 NE Priest 14/0/47 Like you, I was concerned about the skills gap for gore and charge. However, my boar was fine during those levels (BM spec). I did teach him bite and have kept bite on him (now 50 and counting). Its been a while since my hunter was that level. I remember a lot of pet switching during that time. I also tamed Bellygrub and was quite pleased with his skills though I soon dumped him in favor of a Rotting Agam’ar for the pretty skin. I don’t remember any aggro holding problems. I still have the Agam’ar, though I stopped using him much. I typically use a carrion bird these days for the screech. Edited, Oct 12th 2007 2:02pm by Sebaceous Boars between levels 30 – 48 I tamed Bellygrub (Charge 3, Gore 4 at level 24), he is now at 31 and I see there is no upgrades for his skills until level 48 when i can get Charge 5, Gore 7 from an Ashmane Boar (48-49, Blasted Lands) Currently he has Charge and Growl besides Gore. Is there a way to improve him until level 48? Right now he’s doing a good amount of damage and he can take a tough beating, but i’m thinking at level 40 – 45 his skills will we weak against mobs, especially elites. One idea is to train him Bite, but I don’t like the CD on bite, it will only proc once or twice per fight, doesn’t seem useful. HUnters out there who have a boar at level 40-45 how does he perform? Thanks
